Authentic stay within a fort!
Our stay at Killa Bhawan felt like stepping back in time, nestled in the historic Jaisalmer Fort. The rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed breathtaking views and delicious chai, was unforgettable. The truly attentive service made us feel relaxed and at home, with owners Bhanu and Manish readily available to provide local advice and even arranged a ride for us. Each morning, we indulged in lovely local breakfast options that prepared us for a day of exploration.
While the location was charming, navigating the steps to reach the hotel can be challenging, especially for those with mobility issues. It’s advisable to plan your luggage accordingly, as the fort access involves some walking.

The breakfast on the roof terrace was superb, offering a delightful selection! Also, staying right inside the fort gave us an immersive experience that felt like living in a dream.
Our room No. 7 was on the smaller side, and the bathroom could use a bit more space. But honestly, the charm of the place shines bright enough to overlook that!

Rooftop terrace views, charming historic architecture, unique shared bathroom layout
The narrow streets leading to the hotel can be a hassle with luggage, and the rooms could use more space – especially the bathrooms!!! An extension cord wouldn’t hurt either!!!

Staying in the Heritage Suite was awesome! The room was spacious and comfy, perfect for my family of 4. The views from the terrace were amazing! Plus, the vibe of the fort at night is something else. Only downside was the limited storage and we had a bit of water issue for a day. But honestly, relaxing on the terrace made up for it!
